Crafted with great devotion by Filipino artist Creon Chkn, Bicycle Chkns & Crowns is more than a playing card deck. It is a silent saga. Every card, from court to pip, was built feather by feather with painstaking care. Like panels in a comic, the story unfolds through pure imagery: no words, just ink and imagination.

Kings on the Roost

In the shadowed corners of Yolkspire, four tyrants rose to power: Dia, Klab, Olab, and Spadi. This deck marks their first appearance; villains whose rule darkened the land with silence and fear.

The court cards bring this tale to life. The jacks portray our heroes. The queens reveal the rulers they must overcome. The kings capture the turning point, where good and evil collide. At the journey's end, the aces show the heroes crowned in triumph.

Housed in a uniquely designed double-sided tuck box, the deck is a story in itself. Each side bears the iconic Bicycle seal, allowing you to choose which tale to display heroes rising, or villains ruling. With its wrap-around artwork and clever construction, even the box becomes part of the legend.

Cluckwork Design

Beyond the courts, the world of Yolkspire continues to unfold. The numbered cards feature the ranks of the enemy: from lowly foot soldiers to elite guards; and the fortress gates that stand between the heroes and their final battle.

The jokers introduce a pair of wicked jesters; each illustrated with its own twisted charm. The back design reveals the full scope of the conflict, showing heroes and villains locked in battle.

As a final touch, the deck includes two extra cards that form a reversible title plate. Whether you place them as "Chkns and Crowns" or "Crowns and Chkns," the legend holds true: one of symmetry, struggle, and fate decided by design.
