You and a spectator each take one of two seemingly identical copies of the novel 1984 resting on the table. First, you flip through your copy until she tells you to stop, and when she turns to that exact page in her own book, you read the first sentence aloud to confirm they match. Next, she calls out any random page number; you both turn to it, and you correctly name the last word on your page, which she confirms matches her book. Finally, you repeat this process on the other page, flip the page over, and do it twice more to leave her completely convinced that the two books are identical.
