Design Background:
The history of magicians using miniature smoke devices to enhance their magic effects is relatively short, spanning just over two decades, but in that time, these devices have undergone several generations of technological advancements.
From the early days of corrosive chemical smoke to today's safe and non-toxic electronic vaporization, smoke devices continue to evolve, highlighting the enduring importance of smoke as a magical element still this day.
At PITATA, we set out to create a smoke device that caters to a wider range of magicians. First and foremost, we wanted it to produce thick, dense, and high-quality smoke, because the visual impact of smoke is the essence of these devices, and it offers the most direct visual effect for the audience.
It also needed to be reliable-with the invaluable ability to generate smoke exactly when the magician needs it.
Additionally, we wanted it to be easy to operate, whether refilling the liquid, using the remote control, or replacing parts during routine maintenance. No one should have to buy an entirely new device just because one component wears out.
After two years of collaboration with 3CM, we are proud to say we have achieved all of these goals with the PITATA M.I.S.T.

Dense, Fluid Smoke:
PITATA M.I.S.T. produces 70% more smoke than similar-sized smoke devices, and it releases it in an aesthetically pleasing and visually striking, fluid-like mist. To achieve this, we designed a custom heating system that generates a large volume of smoke in a short time. The smoke is then expelled through an optimized air duct by a high-speed fan, ensuring smooth and continuous output.
Over 1 Minute of Continuous Smoke Without Overheating:
The PITATA M.I.S.T. uses a cotton and aluminum alloy oil reservoir, capable of producing 15 bursts of thick smoke for 5 seconds each, or to produce continuous smoke for over 1 minute without overheating. Even after prolonged use, the smoke output remains consistent.
Magnetic Remote Control for Contactless Smoke Activation:
In addition to pressing the remote to control smoke emission, the PITATA M.I.S.T. features a magnetic switch. This means that if you place the remote in a hidden location and wear the included magnet, you can trigger the device with a simple wave, enabling completely contactless smoke generation.

The PITATA M.I.S.T. offers five different modes to suit various performance needs:
The device's main unit and remote can pair freely, meaning a single remote can control multiple PITATA M.I.S.T. devices simultaneously, offering versatile control options.

The PITATA M.I.S.T.'s main components are designed for easy part replacement. Most components can be swapped out with just a screwdriver. The main unit and battery system are connected via magnetic connectors. If any part wears out, you only need to replace the specific component, making maintenance quick and efficient. Additionally, you can remove the smoke module without disturbing the setup, allowing for fast and easy oil refills.
Open Smoke Liquid Formula:
We've made the smoke liquid formula available in our online tutorial, allowing you to create refills at a fraction of the cost. The two ingredients needed are easily found online or at local vape stores, so you never have to worry about running out of supplies. You can practice and perform with confidence!
